Item Summary

This notice, published by the Irgun, warns the Jewish community not to become complacent in the fight for a Jewish State. It exhorts the Jews not to trust the British to establish the state, and exhorts the Zionists to remain on offense against the British. This was published in December 1947 or January 1948, after the British announced the end of the British Mandate for Palestine, which ended on May 15, 1948. This looming event is referenced in the text, calling for the forcible expulsion of the British before that date.
