1. fol. 1a-51b: al-Khulāṣah fī maʻrifat al-ḥadīth / taṣnīf Abī Muḥammad al-Ḥusayn ibn ʻAbd Allāh ibn Muḥammad al-Ṭībī. A compendium on the science of tradition summarized from the works of Ibn al-Ṣalāḥ, 643/1245, al-Nawawī, 676/1277 and Ibn Jamāʻah, 733/1333 and also from Jāmiʻ al-uṣūl li-aḥādīth al-Rasūl of Majd al-Dīn ibn al-Athīr, 606/1210.
2. fol. 53a-126b: Matn matīn fī ʻilm uṣūl al-dīn / Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad al-shahīr bi-Awliyāzādah. Also known as Matn Akhsīkatī. A compendium of religious ordinances.

Description: Rubricated ; watermarks (fol. 1-52: crown-star-crescent; fol. 53-125: anchor, crown-star-crescent, roman-alphabet countermark initials with trefoil) ; MS in good condition.

Binding Note
Later? type II (with flap) binding in light brown leather. Blind-stamped mandorla with pendants and blind-tooled edging on covers. Similar decoration on flap. Marbled paper pastedowns. Not currently sewn. Flap detached.
