A commentary on Shudhūr al-dhahab, the authorʼs poem on alchemy. This commentary is the recension of Abū al-Qāsim Muḥammad ibn ʻAbd Allāh al-Anṣārī, the authorʼs disciple.

Marginal notes and glosses. On last page and 27 folios following is a collection of notes on alchemy. MS in good condition but worm-eaten; Arabic leather binding with flap; gilt stamped and tooling on cover and flap. Probably from XVIIth century.
