- 1. fol. 1a-42a: Kitāb al-Badīʻ fī madḥ al-shafīʻ / lil-Ṣafī al-Ḥillī. A commentary on the authorʼs own Badīʻīyah, which was composed in praise of the Prophet and which illustrates various poetical forms. Contains a diagram.
- 2. fol. 43b-86b: al-Ḥimāyāt al-Badīʻīyah fī madḥ khayr wa-sharḥahā / naẓm Ismāʻīl ibn Abī Bakr al-Muqrī al-Ashʻarī? al-Shāwirī. An ode in praise of the Prophet with the author's commentary. The author composed it as a rival ode to the preceding work.
