Title from inscription on fol. 1a. The name of the author appears in the beginning of the text as Ḥusām al-Dīn ʻUmar ibn ʻAbd al-ʻAzīz al-Bukhārī (fol. 1b).
Physical description: 21 lines per page. Written in medium small naskh in black ink. Vocalization apparently by a later hand. Dark cream paper, glossy, with laid and chain lines visible. Marginal annotations. Several inscriptions and short texts by several hands on fol. 1a and 105b. Title on tail of text block. Pastedowns and fly-leaves of strong European paper with watermark, with one side painted in dark yellow.
Inscription in Arabic script in red pencil on fol. (i)a: "Raqm s 49".
Origin: According to colophon, copy completed on 10 Ramaḍān 761 [July 25, 1360] (fol. 105a).
Incipit: الحمد لله رب العالمين والصلوة على رسوله محمد وآله اجمعين قال الشيخ الامام الاجل حسام الدين عمر بن عبد العزيز البخارى نور الله مضجعه اما بعد فانّ مشايخنا رحمهم الله كانوا يعظمون هذا الكتاب تعظيما ويقدمونه على ساير الكتب

Binding Note
Red leather over paper pasteboards for upper and lower covers. The covers are blind-tooled with a central mandorla with pendants on the vertical axis linked to the outer border by a vertical and and horizontal fillet. Outer border consists of a running pattern of s-shaped stamps.
