- A ḥadīth and an inscription about the author on fol. 1a. A small circular stamp with "Aḥmad" in the centre and date 1219 (1804-5) on fol. 1b.
- Collation: Paper ; fol. 39 + i ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.
- Layout: 23 lines per page.
- Description: Written in a medium small script in black ink with use of red. Glazed European paper.
- Origin: Copied by Ḥusayn ibn Aḥmad ibn Aḥmad ibn Barakāt al-Khanānī [?] al-Shāfiʻī al-Ashʻarī and completed on the 25th of Muḥarram 1183 (1769) -- colophon (fol. 39b).
- Incipit: بسملة وبه ثقتى الحمد لله مقدر الموت على العباد ومحذر الفوت لينتهزوا فرصة الاجتهاد وجاعل موت المومنين وسيلة الى لقايه ومدخلا الى دار احسانه وحسن جزايه
- Explicit: ولا تجعل فى قلوبنا غلا للذين امنوا ربنا انك روف رحيم وصلى الله على سيدنا محمد وعلى اله وصحبه وسلم
- Binding Note
- Later quarter-bound type III (without flap) binding in red leather and purple and red marbled paper. Flyleaves in dark cream wove paper. Substantial insect damage to the spine and the ms is loose inside the covers.
