Distributors in West Pakistan were not interested in releasing this film due to critiques of newcomers Nadeem and Shabana. The first few days of film business were very bad, and then local boy Nadeem became a hero to cinemagoers and this film celebrated its platinum jubilee (81 weeks) - only the second Urdu film in Pakistan to celebrate a platinum jubilee and a new success record for the new pair. All male songs (except Nadeem's) were sung by Basheer Ahmad in the Bengali version. The Urdu songs were recorded in Lahore studio. This is a romantic, musical film in Urdu and Bengali language.
