Baraye is a song by Iranian singer-songwriter Shervin Hajipour, inspired by Mahsa Jina Amini's death and its aftermath. Released on September 28, 2022, it quickly gained popularity among Iranian protesters. The song features protest tweets starting with the word "Baraye" (“for" in English) in support of the protests. It is considered the anthem of the protests and is acclaimed for its vocals and emotional portrayal of the Iranian people. For his song, Hajipour won the first-ever Grammy Award for Best Song for Social Change.
