Hang in there while we get back on track
On June 15, 2008, local residents in traditional national costumes celebrated Kusta in the village of Stashany. The celebration featured the ritual dressing of a chosen woman in maple branches, followed by a festive procession through the village accompanied by ritual songs. Participants visited households to offer blessings, and the festivities concluded with communal singing, dancing, and symbolic acts such as burning or tearing the Kust’s costume.
