La fin de la guerre, ou, La paix conclue entre les princes chretiens par leurs Plenipotentiaires . . . assemblez à Utrecht 11e avril mil ...
1713
Large engraving consisting of two conjoined folio sheets. The entire image, save the "almanach", a relatively small monthly calendar for the year 1714 centered at the bottom, is filled with some twenty figures of the leading nobility of all of Europe, each identified, many sitting at an extended banquet table, others depicted in cameos. Also present are six allegorical figures of war and peace, each holding one of the cameos, and at the top three angelic figures holding portraits of King Louis XIV and Queen Anne. Depicted just above the almanach are small images of royal processions, a religious service, and a fireworks display. The elaborate border features twelve different seals of European nobility. The title is encased in a banner draped above the image.
