The knight of the wheelbarrow!!
1835
"The recto is almost completely filled with a large caricature of 'Captain Pollywog.' Captain Pollywog was Dudley S. Palmer, the editor of The Courier, or 'The Courier of Iniquity,' as The Transcript calls it. Hence the almost incredible vituperation which The Transcript pours upon his head." --Early American book illustrators and wood engravers, 1670-1870
