A work stating the conflicting views of philosophers as to the attributes of God. It was composed at the request of the Ottoman Sultan Muḥammad II (855-886/1451-1481). The author follows the same outline of Tahāfut al-falāsifah, the famous work on the same subject by al-Ghazzālī.
