The poster depicts the Russian protected cruiser Aurora (крейсер Аврора). Aurora was one of three Pallada-class cruisers, built in Saint Petersburg for service in the Pacific. One of the first incidents of the October Revolution, 1917 in Russia took place on the cruiser Aurora, which reportedly had fired the first blank shot, signalling the beginning of the rebellion for those involved.
