Collation: Paper ; fol. i + 306 + ii ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.
Layout: 15 lines per page ; frame-ruled in gold, red and black.
Description: Paper tinted brownish-red ; MS in good condition.
Decoration: Opening spread written within wide, elaborate border in blue, pink, red, gold and black (fol. 1b-2a). Verses separated by gold circles with blue and red dots. Sūrah headings written in white on gold background with narrow borders in various colors. Medallions in the form of flowers of gold, blue, pink and red in the margins mark divisions. Colophon written within wide floral frame of gold, blue, pink and red (fol. 304b).
Origin: According to colophon copy completed 1245 in Qarah Ḥiṣār (fol. 304b).
Binding Note
Later western binding in brown leather. Gold-stamped designs across covers and spine and turn-ins. Multi-color endbands. Brass cornerpieces and catch. Blue marbled paper pastedowns and flyleaves. Gilt edges.
