H-Ronaghi - Hossein Ronaghi, an Iranian activist and political prisoner, actively participated in the Woman, Life, Freedom movement, enduring arrest and hunger strikes to protest prison conditions and torture. Despite facing pressure and harassment, he continues to advocate for justice and freedom.
Ardabil - The city of Ardabil is the capital of the Ardabil province in northwestern Iran. On October 12, 2022, Asra Panahi, a 15-year-old Iranian girl, lost her life when she was beaten by security forces during a raid on her school. This event sparked protests, prompting the police to crack down on the demonstrators. These protests were part of a larger wave of demonstrations in 2022, which were triggered by the death of Mahsa Jina Amini, a young woman arrested by Morality Police for violating the hijab law.
Sanandaj - Sanandaj is a city in the Kurdistan province of Iran where many of the protests over the police killing of Mahsa Jina Amini took place. The Kurdistan province witnessed some of the most violent clashes between protestors and the authorities, who tried to suppress the movement.
