Item Summary
Marvelous poetic tale of the pirate Barmalei, illustrated by one of the foremost Russian graphic artists of the 20th century. Dobuzhinsky was a leading member of Mir Iskusstva and worked with many of its prominent members such as Bakst, Somov, and Benois. His stage designs for Diaghelev and others are very well-known as are his highly regarded book and magazine illustrations.
