Layout: 47-50 lines per page in two columns ; ruled.
Decoration: 2 large and 82 small historiated initials. Numerous additional decorated initials, many formed from animals. Colors of pink, orange, blue and white. 2- to 5-line red or blue initials with red and blue penwork. Running headers in alternatng red and blue letters.
Origin: Written in France in the 13th century.
Binding Note
Later binding. England, mid-1800s by Clyde, 9 Newman St. Gold-tooled concentric rectangles with flowers in each corner. Gold turn-ins.
