Provenance
Garrett MS. 61 is of unknown early ownership. The inclusion of St. Vincent Ferrer of Valencia, O.P. (approximately 1350-1419), suggests that the manuscript was produced after his canonization in 1458.

Renaissance illumination from Ferrara, dated after 1462 by the Index of Christian Art, with the miniatures attributed to Giorgio d'Alemagna (active 1441-1476).
Binding Note
England, early 20th century. Signed binding (“WHS”), on inside front cover, of W. H. Smith & Son bindery, London, possibly during the years (1905-1915), when it was operated by Douglas Cockerell (1870-1945). An unidentified dealer's mark “A1653” in pencil is on the inside front pastedown and “1862/1” on the back pastedown. These notes may be those of the New York antiquarian bookseller Wilfrid M. Voynich (1865-1930), from whom Robert Garrett (1875-1961), of Baltimore, Maryland, Class of 1897, purchased the manuscript on 5 August 1926. His gift to the Princeton University Library, 1942.
