Plates signed by St. Jean, many undated, with others variously dated.

Plates present not-from-life depictions of French nobility, the King, Queen, Dauphin, and men/women "of quality."

Three double-fold plates depict women in varying states of undress preparing for bed or a bath; a fold-out plate shows a mounted "Louis Le Grand commanding his army in with Cambray in the background;

GAX copy: Collection undated; last engraving in Princeton's volume is signed with the date 1696; engraved dates on other plates range from 1683 to 1696.

GAX copy: A collection of 76 engravings, bound together here, showing French nobility, the King, Queen, Dauphin, and men/women "of quality" in various fashions, as well as a few depicting (well-attired) country-people; published variously between 1678 and 1695 by Jean Dieu de Saint-Jean, designer, publisher and print-seller.

GAX copy: Plates are hand-numbered in ink, with some inconsistencies: unnumbered plate between "63" and "64, with last plate (#75 in this sequence) unnumbered and proceded by "74."
