Unknown early provenance. Sold at Sotheby's, London in 1928 to Maggs Bros. Later owned by David Aiken Reed. In 1953, his widow Edna French Reed donated the manuscript to the Princeton University Library, where it was accessioned as AM 15461c. A Library bookplate is on the inside front cover.

Text followed several short additions: chapter titles for the Decretalium (fol. 149v-150r), an anonymous sermon on angels (fol. 150v-151v), two sermons (fol. 151v-154r and 154r-156v), a sermon by Gilbertus de Tornaco (fol. 156v-161r), texts beginning "Loquere ad aaron" (fol. 161r-163r) and "In sole posuit tabernaculum suum" (fol. 163), an unidentified theological text on the Passion (fol. 164r-165v), and a sermon for the 2nd Sunday in Advent (fol. 165v-166r).
Collation: Parchment ; fol. iii + 166 + iii ; modern foliation in pencil.
Layout: 26-28 lines per page in one or two columns.
Decoration: Books III and IV of the Decretalium and the first sermon open with 6- to 8-line initials in red and blue with red and blue penwork decoration and infilling (fols. 1r, 145r, 150v). Subsequent chapters begin with 3- 4-line blue or red initials with penwork of the opposite color. Five small penwork drawings in red and blue on fol. 40v relate to a passage in the chapter "De emptione et venditione."
Binding Note
Later binding by Zaehnsdorf. England, late 19th or early 20th century. Brown morocco over pasteboard. Gilt-line paneled sides, blind-stamped borders and lattice center panels. Gilt-tooled turn-ins. Gilt edges. Multi-colored endbands.
