Leaves of text (descriptive letterpress keyed to the plates)--printed on one side only, within type flower borders.
Illustrations: 23 prints from 26 plates : engraving (11), etching and engraving (12) ; full-page (21), image 77 x 41 cm. (1), image 50 x 41 cm. (1). All after Ligozzi. Comprise frontispiece (St. Francis with armorial devices, trophies and emblems of spiritual and temporal power) by Domenico Falcini and 22 views of sites on Mount Verna associated with St. Francis; 7 are signed with monogram RS (Raffaello Schiaminossi), the others being ascribed to Falcini. The Schiaminossi plates are etchings retouched with burin; the Falcini plates are engravings and etchings with engraving. The 2 large views are composed of prints on 3 and 2 conjoined sheets, respectively. There are engraved overlays on plates F, G, I, O and R (with 2).
