The ms. dates between 1775, which is the latest date on the letters, and 1801, an ownership date (see ownership statement below).
17 lines per page. Written in a small ruqʻah in black ink with use of red for rubrication. On fol. 1b-2a the text is inside a frame outlined in red and black ink. Fol. 1a has a simple head piece, roughly drawn in several shades of purple watercolor with some gold. On fol. 2b- 16a the text is inside a single line frame in black. Catchwords on the verso of each leaf. Glazed European paper with a green hue (the paper of the additional text at the end is cream with frame ruled margins). The text is interrupted from fol. 39b-41a: fol. 39b-40a have verses of poetry added in a later hand and fol. 40b-41a are blank.
