Provenance
By the 19th century and probably earlier, the manuscript was owned by the Franciscans of San Pedro Regalado in La Aguilera, Aranda de Duero, near Burgos, Spain. Their blue oval stamp is found throughout the manuscript (fols. 1r, 31r, 66r, 106r. In 1980, Martin J. Cooper donated the manuscript to the Princeton University Library (AM 81-63).

Collation: Parchment ; fol. 209 ; foliation in red ink.
Layout: 6 lines of words and music.
Decoration: Late Spanish Gothic. Antiphons open with 1-line and staff red initials with purple penwork or blue initials with red penwork, often extending into margins. Verses open with black 1-line and staff strapwork capitals washed in ochre and pale green; psalm incipits generally washed ochre, but not otherwise marked. One parti-colored initial (red and blue with red and blue penwork) opens the Feast of St. Michael, fol. 163r.
Origin: Princeton MS. 125 was copied by a Spanish Franciscan named Fray Antonio de Sant Roma(?), who completed work on the manuscript in 1595, according to a scribal note on fol. 191v.
Binding Note
Later binding. Spanish, 17th century(?). Brown leather over cedar boards (17 mm thick), badly worm-damaged; sewn on 3 thick doubled cords; endbands barrel-stitched, spine lined with music manuscript waste; pastedowns removed (from a choir Psalter?); corner-pieces on lower corners; central boss with 6 petals on front board, removed from back; remains of a chain staple on lower front board; strap and clasp from front to back, catchplate removed.
