View of Bethlem Hospital (Bedlam), the ornate Baroque building with a central pavilion with a cupola above with a clock, wings running on either side with bays on each end, walls and iron fencing on either side of a large gate, gardens with ladies and gentlemen walking on the gravel paths, lunatics, cripples and other figures to the foreground.

The series is listed in John Bowles' catalogue for 1753 p. 43. They are there described as perspective views.
