19 lines per page. Written in medium small taʻlīq in black ink with use of red for "qawluh". European paper with watermark. Illuminated headpiece (ʻunwān) in gold, blue and white on fol. 1b. The text is framed within one red line (gold and black on fol. 1b-2a). Marginal annotations by several hands. Fol. 463-465: Blank. On fol. ii-iv: Table of contents in a grid in red ink. Several inscriptions on fol. 1a, including Kabīkaj.
Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "Uṣūl 27(?)". Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the pastedown of the upper cover: "Ḥāʼ 1069".
Copy completed in the beginning of Jumādá al-Ākhirah 995 [May 1587] (colophon, fol. 462b).
