Collation: Parchment ; fol. i (paper) + 193 ; modern foliation in pencil.
Layout: 12 lines per page with interlinear gloss ; glosses in ca. 44 lines arranged in columns on each side of the text ; frame-ruled in black.
Decoration: 4-line initial "U" in red with infillings (fol. 3r). 1- or 2- line initials in red for major divisions. Elaborate calligraphic paraph marks signal the beginnings of glosses
Origin: From the Cistercian Abbey of Santa Maria di Morimondo, Italy, in the second half of the 12th century.
Binding Note
Later binding. Italy, 17th century? Brown half-calf and pastepaper over pasteboard. Endbands. Head and fore-edge painted in a blue and red pattern.
