Title
King of Siam, 1883 : whose government gave permission for the loan of the first Sacred White Elephant to leave the country in 1883, under lease to Barnum & Bailey. Elephant was poisoned and killed by two priests' attendants. The second Sacred Elephant left by government permission in 1884.
