Item description: Prospect for a hold-to-light work, not perforated. This is one of three almost identical prints with different colors and the same subject. This print has buildings in yellow and blue. The statue is blue, and the sky is blue and pink.
Unsigned.
Depiction: Following the printing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4th, copies were carried throughtout the country and reached New York on July 10th. Soldiers and citizens gathered in Bowling Green to pull down the hated symbol of British rule, the statue of George the III.
