- Item description: L’Imagination (Phantasies) is a series of 19 lithographs of which 15 appeared in the Charivari between January 14, 1833 and October 19, 1833. Four more appeared between December 16, 1843 and March 1844.
- Artist information: Charles Ramelet (1805-1851) was a lithographer and worked for the Charivari since 1832. Ramelet transferred Daumier’s drawings from this series to the lithographic stones, while Daumier was serving his prison term in Dr. Pinel’s clinic.
