Provenance
Princeton MS. 106 is of unknown early and intermediate provenance. The two leaves were reused as pastedowns in the 17th century, as attested by the unrelated Latin legal (?) notes written between the lines of French text and in the margins. The 17th-century annotator wrote 69 lines on the front pastedown (fol. 2v) and 16 lines on the back pastedown (fol. 1v). After being removed from the binding as fragments, the two leaves appear to have been bound using linen tape. Robert H. Taylor (1908-1985), of Princeton, N.J., Class of 1930, purchased the two leaves from the Chicago booksellers Hamill & Barker and donated them to the Princeton University Library in 1968 (Acc. no. AM 19496).
