"The authorship of this pamphlet has been usually referred to James Thomson Callender, but I am inclined to believe that the name is a pseudonym; as Callender had at this time left the Republican party and was writing in favor of the Federalists; while this work attacks him [i.e. Hamilton]"--Ford, Bibl.
