According to F. Meier, Der Islam v. 24 (1937) p. 14sq. this is a continuation of Najm al-Dīn al-Kubrāʼs ʻAyn al-ḥayāh by ʻAlāʼ al-Dawlah al-Simnānī (d. 736/1336) containing an introduction (incip. like ms. Hekimoğlu 54, quoted by Meier, 1. c. p. 14) and commentary on Sūrah 1 and 52-114; the same text also in ms. Berlin 874 (Brockelmann, GAL, S II, 281, no. 1); the title appears on fol. 17a: ... هذا الکتاب المسمى بنجم القران وهو المذىل للتفسىر النجمى کتبه الشىخ الموفق نجم الدىن داىه الاسد [ کذا ] الرازى ... من اول القران الى سورة النجم فلما وصل الى سورة النجم قال what follows agrees with ms. Damad Ibrahim 153, fol. la (quoted by Meier, 1. c. p.l2sq.) except that the present ms. purports to be a continuation of the commentary of Najm al-Dīn al-Dāyah, and not of al-Kubrá; the title Najm al-Qurʼān is mentioned by ḥājjī Khalīfah, Kashf al-ẓunūn, col. 1930; another title appears on fol. 9b, immediately before the beginning of the commentary on Sūrah 52: ... هذا اول المجلد الرابع عشرىن من کتاب مطلع النقطة ومجمع اللفظ
