- Provenance
- In the library of the Pontigny Abbey until the French Revolution when it was acquired by Abbé Joseph Felix Allard. Later purchased by Sir Thomas Philipps of Middle Hill, Worchestershire, who sold it at Sotheby's in London on 17 May 1897. Acquired by Bernard Quaritch and later by Robert Garrett, Class of 1897, who donated it to Princeton University in 1942.

- Collation: Parchment ; fol. i (paper) + 97 + i (paper) ; catchwords ; pagination in pencil on the bottom of every other page ; foliation in pencil in upper right hand corner.
- Layout: 22 lines per page.
- Decoration: Each book opens with a large decorated initial in gold and other colors (fol. 2r, 45v, 92r). Running captions in blue and red.
- Origin: Produced in France, possibly at Pontigny Abbey in the first quarter of the 13th century.
- Binding Note
- Later binding. Bound by George Bretherton in 1849 in English half-calf and navy cloth over pasteboards.
