"Peace and prosperity in Afghanistan are imperative for peace and prosperity in Pakistan. This study from the Pakistan Business Council (PBC) looks at trade and investment as a means for bringing peace and prosperity in the region. Trade promotion being the primary objective, this study analyzes Pakistan-Afghanistan’s bilateral trade; Afghanistan’s trade with its neighbors and Afghanistan’s trade with other important countries in the region i.e., India, China, Turkey, Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Not only is there potential for growing Pakistan-Afghanistan bilateral trade, Afghanistan can also become a major transit route for trade between Pakistan and the Central Asia Republics."
