Ermolaeva introduces elements from Suprematism, Constructivism, and other modern avant-garde movements in these powerful lithographs. She also wittily works the typeface of the telegram into Vvedenskii's text.
Both Vvedenski and Ermolaeva were victims of Stalin's purges, but are now recognized as major figures in modern Russian art and literature, and their work is highly sought after both in Russia and abroad.
