Item Summary

A cautionary tale in verse about the dangers of playing with fire. A mother leaves her daughter alone at home, warning her not to touch the fire in the heating stove. Once the mother leaves, the fire calls to Lena and tells her to ignore her mother's warning. It implores Lena to open the stove door to give it a little more room to breathe. Lena opens the door, and fire leaps out and quickly begins to spread. Brave firemen arrive and extinguish the fire.
