An imposing two-sheet illustrated broadside announcing the defense of a doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Theology of the Sorbonne. Upper sheet with engraved allegorical scene, lower sheet with engraved cartouche containing letterpress text. Individual plate marks approximately 53 x 68 cm at the top and 54 x 70 cm at the bottom. The artist's name is hidden beneath the lower sheet.
