Item Summary

"This ODI report examines current norms around the age of marriage in Afghanistan under today’s Taliban regime. It explores the lived experiences of women and girls as they contend with a new political order after the end of the Republic period (2001-2021); one that has derailed the limited progress that had been made towards the fulfilment of their rights over the past two decades. To do so, it draws on data collected by BISHNAW (meaning ‘listen’ in Dari), an initiative of the Organization for Policy Research and Development Studies (DROPS)."
