Depiction: Two heroes, naval and military, are endeavoring to settle their differences by an appeal to arms, the combat takes place in the bottom of a saw-pit, pistols and broken swords are strewn about and the two principals are using huge blunderbusses, a work-man has just made his appearance over the top of the wall.
Signed in plate, lower right: "Rowlandson 1791".
