“This report is the culmination of the second part of a project titled ‘A Study to Create Evidence-Based Proposals for Reform of Legal Education in India'. It was sponsored by the Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India. In the first part of this project, we had examined the structure and functioning of the National Law Universities (NLUs) which are often described as model institutions in the legal." education sector. In the second part, we have tried to present a deeper analysis of some of the contemporary problems faced within the legal education sector in India. This report encapsulates multiple surveys conducted among faculty members and students affiliated to a broader range of institutions involved in the delivery of formal legal studies. “
