- Notes
- Translated title: Theater for Children: A Collection of Plays.
- Marshak's first book, a collection of seven short plays, with a very pretty jacket illustrated by an unknown hand. (Plantureux tenatively attributes to Sergei Vassilevich Chekonin).
- Among the plays is "The Tale of Lazy" in which a father is mad at his son whom everyone calls "Lazy" and who won't settle down to work. Many people propose to employ him, but he refuses, each time finding the work too difficult. Crazy with rage, his father then decides to drown himself, but "Lazy" arrives to save him and remains as before.
- Binding Note
- Pub. color and gilt ill. bds. with blue cloth spine and pictorial dust jacket and floral patterned endpapers.
