Provenance
Garrett MS. 127 is probably of northern French origin, possibly Picardy, to judge from scribal orthography. Robert Garrett (1875-1961), of Baltimore, Maryland, Class of 1897, purchased the manuscript from an unidentified French book dealer. Garrett's pencil note of acquisition “R.G. 1924” is on fol. 1r. The dealer incorrectly dated the manuscript to the 14th century. Gift of Robert Garrett to the Princeton University Library, 1942.
