Incipit: "Qui cominca la Vita di dante alinghieri(!) Conpilata da messere Lionardo darezzo nostro poeta fiorentino. Avendo in questi giorni posto fine a una opera assai lungha mi uenne appetito per ristoro dello affatichato ingegnio uolere leggere alchuna cosa uolghare ..."

Layout: 20 long lines per page.
Description: Rubricated ; watermarks (modern endpapers: "Ingres d'arches", "MB...", "(France)"; text: hunting horn)
Decoration: Five 2-line red initials faded to pink, with faint penwork flourishes extending into the margins. Many capitals washed in ochre. On fol. 29v is an early modern pen drawing of a man.
Origin: Produced in Florence after 1436.
Binding Note
Later binding. London, England, early 20th century by Sangorski & Sutcliff. Dark brown goatskin over pasteboard. Blind-tooled edging. Gold-stamped title and author on spine.
