A fox asks a hare if he may warm himself in the hare's hut. The hare allows the fox inside, and the fox kicks the hare out of the hut. Dogs and a bear try to get the hut back for the hare, but are scared off by the fox. Ultimately, a rooster scares off the fox, and the rooster and hare live together harmoniously in the hut.
