Item Summary
Announcement of a forthcoming radio broadcast on October 2, 1947 featuring immigrants aboard the Medinat Ha-Yehudim and Ge'ulah ships. These ships left Bulgaria on September 26, 1947 and were approaching Israel on October 2, 1947 with a combined 4,052 refugees on board. The British navy confiscated each ship and deported the refugees to Cyprus.
