The manuscripts are predominantly in Arabic, but there are also many in Persian and Ottoman Turkish. The manuscript digitizations here are a fraction of the full Manuscripts of the Islamic World collections, housed in Special Collections in Princeton's Firestone Library. Efforts are ongoing to make the manuscripts of these collections more accessible through conservation, catalog record updates, and digitization.

- Ms. additions: Numerous inscriptions on front and back flyleaves (ff. 2a-6a, 9b,10a, 248b-259a), in different paper to the main body of the manuscript and consisting of fetvas, many of them by Ebussuud Efendi, a number of quotations, and verse. One of these, several lines of poetry on fol. 254b, is dated 1053 (1643-44), which means that at least some of the flyleaves were already inscribed when they were added at binding. Ff. 6b, 8b and 9a have a table of contents for the main text. Label on cover with number "62".
- Collation: Paper ; fol. 259 ; catchwords ; foliation in ink using Hindu-Arabic numerals (starts on fol. 11) ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.
- Layout: 27 lines per page ; frame-ruled in red.

- Decoration: Opening spread frame-ruled in gold (fol. 10b-11a).

- Type III (without flap) binding in brown leather with a gold-tooled border design made with a guilloche roll with two fillets on either side and six rosetta stamps. Pastedowns in light orange paper.
