Notes: Ms. codex.; Title supplied by the cataloger.; Ms. additions: Numerous inscriptions on front and back flyleaves (ff. 2a-6a, 9b,10a, 248b-259a), in different paper to the main body of the manuscript and consisting of fetvas, many of them by Ebussuud Efendi, a number of quotations, and verse. One of these, several lines of poetry on fol. 254b, is dated 1053 (1643-44), which means that at least some of the flyleaves were already inscribed when they were added at binding. Ff. 6b, 8b and 9a have a table of contents for the main text. Binding Note: Type III (without flap) binding in brown leather with a gold-tooled border design made with a guilloche roll with two fillets on either side and six rosetta stamps. Pastedowns in light orange paper.
