Manuscripts of the Islamic World offers a curated selection of extraordinary manuscripts hosted or held by Princeton University Library. The manuscripts are predominantly in Arabic, but there are also many in Persian and Ottoman Turkish. The manuscript digitizations here are a fraction of the full Manuscripts of the Islamic World collections, housed in Special Collections in Princeton's Firestone Library. Efforts are ongoing to make the manuscripts of these collections more accessible through conservation, catalog record updates, and digitization.

Yemeni Manuscript Digitization Initiative
The private manuscript libraries of Yemen, estimated at 50,000 codices, constitutes the largest and most important set of unexamined Arabic manuscripts in the world today. The Yemeni Manuscript Digitization Initiative presents, for the first time, access to manuscripts from three private libraries in Sanaa, Yemen, and virtually conjoins them to additional Yemeni manuscripts held by the Princeton University Library and Staatsbibliothek, Berlin.

- جيده، وهو عبارة عن مخطوط مجلد بغلاف جلد بني، بعض صفحاته عليها آثار بلل، منسوخ بخط جميل بعدّة ألوان وعليه اطار للنص بالمداد الأحمر في معظم صفحاته، ولكن في أخره له صفحات الصقت فيه وهي عبارة عن فوائد وفيها تآكل وبلل أثر على النص وعليها آثار معالجه، خط بالمداد الأسود والأحمر والأصفر المذهب مع أزرق في بعض الصفحات عليه بعض صفحاته حواشي، خطه نسخي + ثلث جيد
- Significant damage and repairs to many pages. Whole sections of the manuscript have been replaced with new pages. "ʻUddat al-akyās" written on the edge of the manuscript.
