Collation: Paper ; fol. i + 175 + i ; catchwords ; foliated in Hindu-Arabic numerals at center top ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.
Description: Rubricated ; verse separators in red ; MS in good condition but several folios are worm-eaten and mended. It appears that the MS was trimmed as some marginal notes are cut off.
Layout: 19-22 lines per page ; frame-ruled in red.
Marginal notes. On the title page occur a table of contents, al-shahādah written twice, a numerical charm and other writing. Before the colophon there is a crossed-out statement that this copy was made for Amīr al-Muʼminīn. After the colophon occur an obliterated autograph of an owner, al-shahādah twice, one by Muḥammad ibn Abī Kālib dated 1284 [1867].

Binding Note
Later type II (with flap) binding in red leather. Blind-stamped mandorla with pendants and decorative tooled edging. Marbled paper pastedowns and blue flyleaves. Flap attached with patterned fabric.
