Title from fol. 2a (partly covered by repair).
Physical description: Number of lines per page varies (from 36 to 25). Written in small naskh in black ink with use of red in Text 2. Dark cream paper, glossy, with laid lines and chain lines visible. Fol. 1 and 196 are later additions. Stained with dampness ; some worm damage ; a few loose leaves.
Inscription in Arabic script in red pencil on fol. 1a: "Raqm 78".
Origin: According to colophon, Text 2 copied by Yūsuf ibn Ibrāhīm, and completed in Mecca, on Wednesday 9 Rajab 848 [Oct. 22, 1444] (fol. 193b).
Binding Note
Red leather over paper pasteboards for upper and lower covers. Both covers have a central lozenge consisting of gilt impressions of a small circular stamp. Impressions of the same stamp in the inner corners of the border, which consists of a guilloche and fillets. Rebacked. Traces of an embossed leather doublure on fol. 195b.
