Manuscripts of the Islamic World offers a curated selection of extraordinary manuscripts hosted or held by Princeton University Library. The manuscripts are predominantly in Arabic, but there are also many in Persian and Ottoman Turkish. The manuscript digitizations here are a fraction of the full Manuscripts of the Islamic World collections, housed in Special Collections in Princeton's Firestone Library. Efforts are ongoing to make the manuscripts of these collections more accessible through conservation, catalog record updates, and digitization.

- A classified Arabic and Persian vocabulary in four parts: (1) law and religion, (2) animal life, (3) the sky and the heavenly bodies, (4) the earth. Incomplete at the beginning and the end. MS begins with al-bāb 1, al-qism 1 on the names associated with Allāh and others and ends with al-bāb 6 on buildings and places.
- Collation: Paper ; fol. 108 ; catchwords ; foliation in ink using Hindu-Arabic numerals ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.
- Description: Partially rubricated ; vowel signs ; paper color alternates irregularly between cream and red ; MS in good condition. Folios 17-20, 24, 31, 36-43, 48, 74 and 77-108 are older than the rest. Folios 74 and 81 are of smaller size [17.3 x 12 cm.].
- Few marginal notes. List of chapters on fol. 1a-3a.
